Seaside Heights, NJ- The Quiksilver shop challenge got off to a great start this past week at the Casino Pier up in Jersey! The waves were going off all afternoon, with howling offshore winds and barrels to be had in almost every heat. All the boys were ripping (even though the water temp was 43 degrees), and the final came down to the last minute before Heritage surf shop walked away with the belt. That means they are the first to qualify for the final event, and are one step closer to the grand prize of 10G! Next stop is the Southeast qualifier at the Sebastian Inn. The event is scheduled to run Tuesday April 8th, at 8am. If you are in the area come down and find out who will be joing Gessler, Moran, and the rest of the boys from Heritage out in Cali for the main event! We will be there, and at the rest of the events listed above with some bitchin new boards in our carbon fiber technology for everyone to try out FOR FREE, so come on down and put one to the test!
Sebastian Inlet Inn, FL- The Shop Challenge went off again without a hitch down south in the Sunshine state. The waves were kinda going off by Florida standards and there were a few ramps to be had in the first round. In the finals it was the boys from Sunrise who who came out on top! We would not expect any less from the boys in red (it being the sunshine state and all...). Anyway here are a few more shots for your viewing pleasure and if you want to see more on the event, here is the link to the microsite courtesy of our friends over at Quiksilver and Surfer Magazine. Now its back out to the West Coast for the next stop up in Santa Cruz, CA. |
